Parent Coaching

Do you want some new ideas for handling the parenting challenges you are facing? Are you looking for a way to change your behavior and positively influence your children's behavior? You've come to the right place!

What is parent coaching?

The goal of parenting coaching is to help you explore your current family dynamics and find ways to adjust your behavior to bring out the best in everyone. I provide compassionate, non-judgmental listening to help you identify priorities and make choices for you and your children.

Typically parent coaching takes place over a series of weeks or months to accomplish the goal of sustained change. The process involves:
  • Understanding your current situation
  • Identifying what is and is not working
  • Setting goals and designing ways to reach those goals
  • Reflecting on the progress being made
Unlike psychotherapy, I do not provide diagnoses of mental health, psychological or biopsychosocial assessments, or prescribe any medications.

Coaching is most often conducted by phone but in-person appointments can also be scheduled.

What happens during a coaching session?

You choose the focus of the call. You may discuss whatever parenting challenges you would like help on. I will provide careful listening along with new ideas for your next choices, actions and decisions.

You will receive an email outlining what was discussed along with the agreed on action plan.

How much does it cost?

You can purchase either a 30 minute ($50) or one hour session ($100).

How do I schedule an appointment?

Please call 425-770-1629 to make arrangements or email your request. Before meeting I will ask you to fill out a parenting questionnaire to help determine if I'm a good fit for your needs. If I feel you would be better served by a different professional, I will make that recommendation.

What about confidentiality?

All information shared is confidential and will not be shared with others unless required by law.
